5th steering Committee considers draft report and toolkit

(8 September 2009) The Steering Committee of the project met to discuss the drafts which were presented by David Tarren and Jane Pillinger. Main discussions related to the way in which the challenges for workers and companies are analyzed and presented. Linking overall labour market trends with sector specific demands and developments is a central requirement for the study. 4th Steering Committee notes progress in study and case studies, defines programme

(18 June 2009) The Members received presentations from David Tarren on progress with the report. A number of comments were made, and the importance of comparing general labour market with the gas sector and competitors (for skilled and qualified staff).
New studies on Skills and Renewables were pointed out. Using scenarios will be consider to indicate possible future developments.

Outline of study and toolkit to 3rd Steering Committee

(29 April 2009) Jane Pillinger presented the first findings of the survey to the Steering Committee. 17 employers and 11 trade unions have responded. Several responses are awaited. A number of case studies has also been identified ensuring a good spread over North, South, East and West Europe. A series of comments were made on the draft outlines of the study and the toolkit.
