Euro Parliament Green /EFA Group come out in force for strong public services
(3 March 2009, Brussels) the Green/ European Free Alliance Group in the European Parliament gave a ringing endorsement to the EPSU public service pledge. (2 March 2009, Brussels) EPSU have launched the public service pledge leaflet in all 23 EU languages (see bottom of page for your country language!). All 200+ public service trade unions affiliated to EPSU will be encouraged to use the pledge in their campaigns for the European elections (set for June 2009).
EPSU President Anne-Marie Perret stated that; "this leaflet will allow us to check whether European Parliament election candidates mean what they say when it comes to public services". (...)

(25 November Brussels) The European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU) has launched the ‘Public Service Pledge’ for the European Elections 2009 (www.epsu.org/publicservicepledge). National public service unions throughout the European Union will ask candidates for the European Elections, scheduled for June 2009, to sign up to the EPSU demands.
