(7 mars) Les mobilisations contre la directive Bolkestein ont fortement remis en évidence le besoin d’une directive cadre sur les SIG. Elles ont ouvert une fenêtre que nous ne devons pas laisser se refermer sans en avoir exploité toutes les possibilités revendicatives.
Au niveau européen, l’automne 2006 a été marqué par plusieurs initiatives traduisant l’impact des interventions et mobilisations syndicales :

I am proud to say that I have signed the petition calling for a legal instrument for public services at the EU level. For the next 12 weeks, EPSU and its 200+ affiliates, will be making the ETUC petition on public services our number one priority. We aim, in association with the ETUC - find your national confederation here, here, here, here and here - the other European Trade Union Federations, and our growing list of allies, to reach our target of one million signatures by the start of the ETUC congress in Seville on 21-24 May.
Let us remember that the gathering of one million signatures is the message. Our aim, indeed our long term struggle, is to have a strong legal instrument at EU level that reflects the value of public services in European society, recognises the (...)
(9 February, Paris) La journée d’actions, de grève et de manifestations lancée dans la Fonction publique (Etat - Hospitaliers - Territoriaux - La Poste - France Télécom...) a été une réussite.
Malgré lui, le ministère de la Fonction publique est obligé de reconnaître que la mobilisation est encore plus forte que le 2 février 2006 sur le même sujet. En plus des grèves, de très nombreuses manifestations ont eu lieu sur tout le territoire (Paris, Marseille, Rouen, Rennes, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Lyon, (...)
(11 December, Paris) EPSU participates in high level debate on SGI Penny Clarke, EPSU co-campaign coordinator of the EPSU ’Quality Public Services - Quality of Life’ campaign, will participate in a high level seminar organised by the European Party of Socialists and representatives from French civil society on 15 December. The seminar, in Paris, will examine the role of local government, transport and social services, in the context of EU definition for public services.
