The last EPSU Congress was held from 8 to 11 June 2009 in Brussels. It adopted a series of resolutions on public services, collective bargaining and gender equality.
In between Congresses, the Executive and Steering Committees are responsible for decision making.
To focus technical and vocational work, the following Standing Committees have been set up:
The president of EPSU is Anne-Marie Perret, FGF-FO, France and Carola Fischbach-Pyttel is the General Secretary. The Vice-Presidents are Dave Prentis, UNISON, UK, Jaana Laitinen-Pesola, TEHY, Finland, Rosa Pavanelli, FP-CGIL, Italy and Mikhail Kuzmenko, HWURF, Russia.

2011 draws to a close. We have seen persistent attacks on public services and workers’ rights across the continent amidst growing uncertainty over the future of the Euro and indeed the ‘European project’ as a whole.

(20 April 2011) On April 13th several members of the European Federation of Public Services Unions (EPSU) Executive Committee met with Commissioner Maria Damanaki to discuss the future of Europe, the current austerity measures and the role of the Commission and the trade unions. The meeting took place at the International Trade Union House in the context of the EPSU Executive Committee.
