ETUI and EPSU will be organizing a training seminar from 16-18 November in Vienna to raise awareness of the gender pay gap and the sources of pay inequalities in the public sector, and to address the problem of the concentration of women in low-paid jobs.
The objective will be to identify and present best-practice examples from selected European countries in the public sector and compare policies that aim at reducing the gender pay gap.
It will provide participants with a balanced practical knowledge and factual arguments on the challenges for EPSU unions to reduce the gender pay gap e.g. getting the right comparative data for employers, identifying root causes, funding the changes, just implementation of changes of pay structures and systems
ETUI will cover the travel and accommodation costs for 20 participants. EPSU expects the participation from trade union affiliates with competences in gender equality issues but more particular in collective bargaining practices. We will provide you as soon as possible with necessary organizational details concerning draft programme, travel and accommodation.
