EPSU summer school on "strengthening public services and workers' rights"

11-13 September 2012, Tbilisi, Georgia

We are pleased to invite you to a participate in an EPSU summer school on “strengthening public services and workers’ rights”, from 11-13 September in Tbilisi, Georgia. The summer school will take place in the Courtyard Marriott Hotel (http://www.marriott.com).

The summer school will be an opportunity to build links with affiliates that were outside the EPSU geographical remit before the EPSU / PSI-Europe merger. The agenda will aim to:
- Increase awareness, cooperation and coordination on European public services and workers rights/collective bargaining issues
- Exchange information about EPSU/PSI work on public services and workers rights/collective bargaining and identify opportunities for developing and contributing to upcoming activities
- Contribute to the development of the EPSU Public Services and Collective Bargaining Networks
- Develop EPSU/PSI policies and strategies on quality public services and workers rights
- Strengthen EPSU’s capacity to build a fairer and more equal Europe.

We have chosen Georgia as the venue because we want to highlight the urgent question of trade union rights in that country and we will plan to organise an event, meeting or visit during the conference in order to raise our concerns. Further information will be provided to participants at a later date.
