EPSU makes secret South East European Energy Treaty available - version IV.5
For several months EPSU and trade unions in South East Europe have been arguing that the proposed draft Treaty to establish a South East European Energy Community should be made public. We have now obtained a copy of what appears to be the final version. It will be discussed by the Ministers of Energy today in a special meeting. The Treaty introduces the internal market for electricity and gas. The institutions established in the Treaty lack democratic control. There is no role for the social partners foreseen and it lacks a social dimension (13 December 2004). Please see also our press release.
