Employees of the Compass Medirest multinational at hospitals in Southampton and Buckinghamshire have taken strike action in protest at the company’s failure to apply the national health sector agreement. The workers are missing out on sick pay and various unsocial hours payments despite the fact that funding has been made available to ensure that the company’s policies are in line with the Agenda for Change agreement covering the health sector.
