European Day of Action: We are ONE – EON

(17 June 2009) The German trade union Verdi supported by EPSU and other unions organizing workers in the different countries were Eon is active have organized a manifestation in Dusseldorf – Germany, 18 June 2009.
The protest is against management of Eon that has failed to agree a deal to protect jobs, stop outsourcing, provide quality training and guarantee apprenticeships regular job. Management has safeguarded the interests of shareholders through its programme Performance to Win and is putting the price on the shoulders of workers.
Several thousand workers are expected. Solidarity messages arrive from the different EON subsidiaries in the different companies. Small and large delegations will participate.
Romanian workers are also protesting on the same day in Eon in Roumania. Workers in many countries have also problems with EON.
