Bulgarian energy unions take action 3 and 12 May

The Bulgarian energy unions of Podkrepa and CITUB and EPSU affiliates, are organising regional and national action on 3 and 12 May. They protest plans of the government to privatise electricity distribution companies. The public service comes under pressure. There are no solid guarantees for employment, pay and conditions. EPSU has sent a message of support to our Bulgarian colleagues and letters of protest to the Bulgarian government arguing to withdraw the plans. The Bulgarian colleagues still do not have the right to strike. Privatisation results to a free-zone in which workers are exploited by multinational companies.
