(4 February 2009, Brussels) Some 50 employers and trade unions’ representatives from 26 EU Member States discussed and agreed the following as part of the follow-ups to the EUPAN/TUNED joint position on stress at work in central government administration as agreed on 19-12-2008:
to continue Dissemination across central government administrations of the joint position and provide to EUPAN and TUNED’s steering group language versions already available, such as in addition to FR, ENG and DE versions, Polish, Portuguese, Baltic languages and Greek;
to return good to country practices and policies on combating stress at work by 15 March.
Social dialogue and involvement of staff and their representatives is a prerequisite for good practice and policy; a compilation report of good practices on combating stress at work will be prepared in time for the DG/TUNED plenary meeting on 19 June which will be held in Prague.
