As part of our two-year Test Phase on a formal social dialogue, you are herewith invited to attend the 4th meeting of the EUPAN / TUNED social dialogue working group on stress at work.
Please find attached a draft agenda, related documents and a power point presentation made at the 07 July 2008 social dialogue steering group outlining the objective and methodology of the meeting.
Objective
The key objective is to discuss a joint text with the employers on stress at work in central government administrations which, if agreement is reached, will be up for adoption at the plenary meeting between the EU public administration DGs and TUNED on 19 December (Paris).
In the main, the joint text will complement and adapt, not replace, the European cross-sectoral agreement on Stress at work (2004) to our sector. The nature of the joint text is still under discussion, such as “guidelines” or “principles” on stress at work. A first draft of the joint text, in the form of a discussion document, will be sent to you shortly, in Eng and FR.
Meeting venue and time
The meeting will take place on 9 September in Paris at the Finance Ministry, 139 rue de Bercy, 75012 Paris.
The nearest tube station is Bercy
It will start with registration between 08:30 and 09:00 and end at 17:00.
Further practical information will follow later.
Languages
It will be possible to speak in and listen to English and French.
Participants
Members of TUNED and of the EPSU NEA committee are invited to attend up to a maximum of 27 participants, preferably health and safety experts. As in previous social dialogue working groups, the employers will send their representatives in the EUPAN human resources working group.
Accommodation
Colleagues from CFDT Interco have kindly organised block bookings at the following hotels which are close to their offices where our preparatory meeting will take place ( see below).

TUNED preparatory meeting 8 September
A TUNED preparatory meeting will take place on 8 September at 14h00 until 17h00 in the offices of CFDT Interco 47 Avenue Simon Bolivar -75019 Paris, with the participation of ETUC adviser and legal expert Stefan Clauwaert.
Whispered interpretation will be available in French and English
Further information on the TUNED delegation dinner in the evening of 8 September will be sent at a later date.
Funding
As we are not in a formal social dialogue as such, we expect participating unions to cover all travel and subsistence costs of their representatives. TUNED’s EPSU members from countries under 100% on the ‘5 band’ index, are referred to the attached ‘rules governing financial assistance’. Please note however that the 5th social dialogue working group on 13 November will receive EU funding as part of our “trust project”.
