European Commissioner Spidla committed the European Commission to a revision of the EWC Directive in a letter to ETUC. The Commission has come under intense pressure of BusinessEurope not to do so. BusinessEurope and the companies are ignoring the demands of workers and EWCs which have clearly indicated to the Commission that a revision is long overdue.
