EPSU and European energy consumer rights: a critical approach

Just a few days after the opening date of the internal market for electricity and gas, 1 july 2007, the Commission published a proposal for an Energy Consumers’ Charter. The Commission recognises that the internal market on electricity and gas does not deliver for consumers and that more protection is needed. EPSU argues that the best protection for users is to re-think the internal market for electricity and gas. Prices for domestic households should remain regulated. To read more...
