Update on Energy Action

(29 June) The Roumanian gas and electricity unions have informed us about the actions they have taken. They have approached the government and handed over letters, but also approached MEPs, European Commissioner for Energy Piebalgs and the Deputy minister of energy of Montenegro who chairs the Ministerial Councils).

More then 50 trade union representatives of the energy trade union of Montenegro gathered outside the Energy Ministry and demanded the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Social Aspects of the Energy Treaty. This happened at 10.00 in Podgorica.

At the same time workers in Belgrade took the streets with the same demand. More then 100 workers, members of the EPS trade union, of Nezavisnost and the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia gathered at 10 o’clock in front of the Ministry of Energy and Mining. They also handed over our demands.
