Equal pay questionnaire

The EPSU’s Gender Equality Committee has agreed that we need to assess the implementation of the EPSU equal pay resolution 2002-2007 and so we are carrying out this survey.

Your replies will help us evaluate the progress made over the past 5 years to close the gender pay gap in EPSU’s sectors and help revise the EPSU equal pay resolution accordingly.

They will also be useful in view of the Commission’s pending Communication on the gender pay gap due to be published before the summer. The ETUC is to set up an equal pay taskforce, in which EPSU will take part, to prepare its response to the Communication.

The findings of the questionnaire will be first discussed at the EPSU Gender Equality Committee meeting on 5 November, alongside a draft of the equal pay resolution.

Final results will be presented to the annual EPSU Collective Bargaining Conference on 3-4 December 2007.

PSI-Europe affiliates that are not affiliated to EPSU: In view of the merger between EPSU and PSI-Europe the survey is also sent to you. Your replies will be very valuable to us. Please ignore question 9 of the questionnaire that relates to the EPSU equal pay resolution.

Please complete and return the questionnaire to rpond@epsu.org before 21 September 2007, thanks.

Should you have any questions or comments please don’t hesitate to contact Richard or Nadja. The PSI Regional officers can also provide you with assistance if need be.
