Estonia stages www.petitionpublicservice.eu event
(8 March, Tallinn) EPSU affiliate ROTAL have staged a ’signing drive’ and public demonstration as part of the Quality Public Service - Quality of Life campaign. The event, which took place on 8 March, was a concerted effort to get signatures for the ETUC petition on public services. Kalle Liivamägi, EPSU campaign coordinator in Estonia, stated that he hoped that this action would signal a ’stepping up’ of campaign activity through the Baltic’s. The ROTAL head stated that it was vital that the new member states were seen to be actively supporting the ETUC petition on public services.
