Demo to protect public services, 24 November, Roma
(Brussels, 14 November) EPSU has been informed that the Italian affiliates are planning a massive demonstration to promote public services. The demo will take place in Rome on 24 November. It ties in with the EPSU campaign on Quality public services - quality of life and will be publicised widely throughout the EU. The demo is an example of growing frustrations with the EU’s negative role in reducing public services. It is expected that with the publication of the Commissions communication on services of general interest in December, which is not expected to add anything constructive to the debate, the number of events will rise.
