Italian unions support legal initiative to ban competition in water services
The Italian union CGIL is backing a legal initiative which will outlaw competition in water services. Based on the principle that water is a human right the initiative argues how a law can be established that will ensure water is a public service. The union is supported by many water activist groups and social movements. These groups are aiming to get sufficient signatures to ensure the initiative is discussed in Italy.
