Italy: national action on Quality public service campaign
(13 June, Sardina) On 20 June, EPSU Italian affiliates CGIL and CISL will launch the national element of the EPSU public service campaign ’Quality Public Service - Quality of Life’. The event will take place in Sardinia and will focus on the Water Sector.
Rosa Pavanelli, CGIL International Secretary, and EPSU national coordinator for the campaign, stated that; "this event marks the first of many to illustrate the need for EU action to protect public services". She added that; "the water sector was a significant element of the recent General Election in Italy, with the new government pledging to return the sector to public control".
