French energy unions decide strike action over merger plan Gas de France - 20 June

EPSU affiliates CGT FNME and FO FNEM together with the CGC have decided to organise a strike action 20 June. The unions are not satisfied with the response of the government to the many questions posed over the planned merger between French/Belgian company Suez and French company Gas de France. The unions will oppose changes to the law that are needed to allow the privatisation of gas de France. Currently the French state owns more then 70%. This will be reduced to less then 35% and probably will go down even further. For more information please read the joint call for action: http://www.fnme-cgt.fr/cnt/doc//397/14145-fjoint.pdf
