EPSU to send MEP’s a Service’s Directive Valentine
The Services Directive has become on of the most contentious proposal in recent EU history, rivalling even the EU constitution. Click here to see our new animation. On 14 February, in Strasbourg, EPSU will participate in the latest of a series of large demonstrations against the Services Directive.
The message to MEP’s? "Greetings from social Europe, wish you were here!"
The key demand of the European Federation of Public Service Unions is to outline a positive European definition of public services as a counterweight to the internal market. The leadership of EPSU, President Anne-Marie Perret and General Secretary Carola Fischbach-Pyttel, will be at the head of an assembly of thousands of workers. ESPU will send a Valentine’s postcard to every MEP calling on them to reject the Services Directive in it’s current form. The postcard (attached below) will be circulated among all EPSU affiliates, and among allied European organisations. This demo, to take place outside the European Parliament, is being co-ordinated by the European Trade Union Confederation.
