Italy - public sector strike, 18 March
EPSU send its solidarity and support to its Italian affiliates for the general strike in the public sector on 18 March. This will be a powerful demonstration emphasizing their justified demands:
- To renew the contracts to ensure better pay levels;
- To prevent privatization and contracting out of public services;
- To obtain the necessary resources for training and further training measures
- To guarantee the citizens’ right to equal access to quality public administrations.
Trade unions all over Europe are struggling to maintain and improve the quality of public services in the interests of all citizens and workers. We rely on good and affordable public infrastructures and services to ensure social justice and solidarity within the European Union. This is also the reason why the ETUC has called for a massive demonstration on 19 March, for more and better jobs - against the Bolkestein Directive.

- PER VALORIZZARE LA PROFESSIONALITA’ DEI PUBBLICI DIPENDENTI ATTRAVERSO LO STANZIAMENTO DELLE RISORSE NECESSARIE ALLA FORMAZIONE ED ALLA RIQUALIFICAZIONE;
- PER CONTRASTARE LA POLITICA DI BLOCCO DELLE ASSUNZIONI, DI PRECARIZZAZIONE DEL LAVORO PUBBLICO, DI TAGLIO AGLI ORGANICI, PER STABILIZZARE I RAPPORTI DI LAVORO;
- PER GARANTIRE LA LEGALITA’, PER MIGLIORARE LA QUALITA’ E L’EFFICIENZA DEI SERVIZI OFFERTI ALLA COLLETTIVITA’ E GARANTIRE AI CITTADINI PARI POSSIBILITA’ DI ACCESSO ED EQUITA’ DI TRATTAMENTO.
